Queen Elizabeth Park is an ideal place to spend an afternoon for people with diverse interests who live in Vancouver. The Quarry Gardens was once an enormous excavation site. Now it’s home to beautiful specimen trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs, and annuals. The plans were chosen for their attractive foliage or flowering. A stream and waterfall finish this artful landscape. The Arboretum and Rose Garden are both quite lovely and have many native species of plant. Throughout the Park are many sculptures in a variety of styles and media.

The Bloedel Conservatory is an elegant triodetic dome building. It houses 200 free-flying exotic birds. Tropical plants and flowers thrive year-round in the temperature-controlled conservatory.

Queen Elizabeth park is perfect for a stroll or a picnic. The four-footed friends who live in Vancouver are welcome to run free at the off-leash area. Sports fans can enjoy the Pitch & Putt or one of the 17 tennis courts. Lawn bowling is available from April to September. Roller hockey is available in two outdoor courts. Basketball can be played on three courts. Click here to visit the Queen Elizabeth Park website and plan your visit.
