It's that time of the year again, Spring Cleaning is here!

There is always this one time of the year when you clean your whole house and make it squeaky clean. For most of us it is Spring time, while some of us may choose to do spring cleaning during other seasons. It is completely cool as long as you have a house which is clean and free from roaches, right?

There are usually two types of people, ones who love to clean their house and ones who don’t. No matter which one you are, a few cleaning tips will change the way you clean or at least help you save time and effort in doing so.

Let get started!

For starters, take a good look around your house to know how much cleaning it needs. Check if there are heavy stains or dust or webs. If you clean it at regular intervals, you will obviously know it already and if you don’t, take a walk around your house for a bit.

Now that you know what level of cleaning your house needs, choose a day to clean your house. Try to choose a day where you do not have other chores to do as if you set foot for cleaning, finishing it off would be a good idea.

Let us get on with the cleaning part now. You can either choose cleaning products which are readily available from the market or use natural products which are readily available in your kitchen. Baking Soda, water and Vinegar with a gentle squeeze of lime is a great natural way to clean your house but the supermarket products clean just as good. The main advantage of using natural substances is obviously the no side-effects cleaning as you will be constant physical contact with the fumes and the chemicals while cleaning which may harm your skin and make your house a bit toxic. Once you decide, put your cleaning gloves on and get on with it.

  1. Living Room

For the living room, sofa and rugs can be a big hassle. For cleaning your couch, dust it off like you do normally. Sprinkle some baking soda on it. Let it rest for a good 15 to 20 minutes. (You can clean up the other parts in that time or maybe watch TV). After that give a quick vacuum to the sofa. This helps to get rid of any stains or odor.

For the rugs, you can do the same thing, given that your rug is vacuum-able. If your carpet has stains, use a mixture of rubbing alcohol and salt and pour it over the stain. Once it dries, vacuum it off.

  1. Tiles

To clean up tiles, either use a floor cleaner or a mixture of Baking soda, Vinegar and lemon. Use a rag in order to clean it. One simple way to avoid scrubbing is to use tiny rag bags and use them as -socks and simply glide through the tiles and watch the floor get cleaned without any scrubbing.

     3.Windows and other glass

Take a paper towel, put a few drops of vinegar in it. Use the towel to clean your windows inside and out.

  1. Kitchen Cleaning

There are various aspects to a kitchen and will be probably take the most amount of time. To clean the microwave, put water and vinegar in a container. Put it on for 5 minutes. Take out the container and let it cool. After that, simply wipe it with a dry sheet.

For the dishwasher, do the same with white vinegar and baking soda. For the sink, pour vinegar in it and leave it. After that, use a towel to rub off the vinegar.

  1. Bathroom

For the washroom tiles, use the same mixture of baking soda, vinegar and lime. For your bath tub, use liquid shower gel in a coarse cloth and rub it on the entire bath tub. For all your taps and fixtures, sprinkle a mixture of baking soda and vinegar and let it set for a while and wipe it off with a wet cloth.

Time to get tidying up.

Now this will make your house squeaky clean but it has to still look neat. Start with your bedroom cupboards. Wash all the untidy clothes, fold all the dried clothes and the clothes which lie on your bed chair, table or wherever your clothes are. Use hangers for your cupboards if you are lazy folder. Wash your curtains and door mats. Change your sheets and pillow covers and vacuum everything while you are it.

Go around the house once again, gather all the stuff which is lying and put it at their right place. This will automatically make your house look tidy. See around if you feel something is stuffed up. Try to put things in their place.

Smelling good will make you feel good!

Once you are done with all the taking, take a spray can, mix water, a few drops of vanilla essence and a bit of rosemary if you have. Use this spray around the house and your house will smell better than an aroma spa, or something close to it.

Enjoy the feeling of a clean and fresh house!

The hard work that you put will definitely show up. When you sit back and relax in a clean and fragrant house, all the efforts put will make you feel relaxed and rejuvenated and you will think of why you did not do it earlier. The best way to enjoy this for a longer time is to clean this on a regular interval. If you do it, you will hardly have to clean. Just a bit of dusting here and there and your house will look clean and good each day. Given the busy schedules that you have, it is a good idea to call cleaning workers once a month or so and get it cleaned. A clean house is known to increase your happiness and relaxation levels. So get up, get cleaning already!
